According to Pat McGrath it’s all about “a bold, bold, bold red lip” at Prada for spring, and a flawless complexion to go with it. After subtly highlighting the high points of the face, McGrath groomed brows, dusted brown pigment through the eye socket, and applied a stroke of shimmering white shadow on the upper lash line. As for that bold pout, CoverGirl LipPerfection Lipliner in Hot was used, and the lip color in the same shade filled them in. The key to the lips were that they were all a bit exaggerated. Keeping the color slightly outside of the lip line and tracing the curve along the cupid’s bow, made them appear bigger. Finally in an apparently popular trend for spring, lashes were curled then left without mascara, and toes got two coats of CoverGirl’s Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss in Ever Red-dy and Reliably Red(new out in November).
Guido Palau styled the models’ hair in a series of classic French chignons. He deliberately made them more edgy however by gathering the hair straight back, and then twisting them up into a textured updo. The hair was spritzed with Redken Quick Tease 15 Backcombing Finishing Spray, and then pinned up, letting the ends hang over the forehead like makeshift bangs.
