Big hair, Big brows

At Rochas for fall 2013 it was all about big, deliberately bad hair according to hair stylist Eugene Souleiman, who likened his look to a “bob with a bad perm”.  The models’ hair was given a deep side part/comb-over then flat ironed about a third of the way down.  The remaining length was curled around a wand, then stretched out to produce a wave, and left a bit frizzy.  The point was not to make it look too polished, as a counter-point to the clothes.   Makeup artist Lucia Pieroni decided to forgo eyeliner, mascara, blush or doing “a lip” and instead went with the idea of a brow straight out of the forties. The arch is wider, straighter and deliberately more textured.
